How To Let Your Kid Be A Kid
How To Let Your Kid Be A Kid

Camp is a chance to unplug, be present, and fully experience everything camp has to offer. Without phones, tablets, and other electronics, campers can spend their time connecting with others, trying new activities, getting outside, and discovering things they may not have had the opportunity to try before. We want camp to be a place where kids can step away from screens, be themselves, and enjoy being a kid!
Our kids are bombarded by electronics on a daily basis. We hope to keep your kids active and potentially even push them a bit outside their comfort zone. Electronics make it hard to keep all kids engaged in activities.
There is an updated packing list under Summer Camp Resources. You’ll also go over what to pack, and not to pack, during Meet and Greet.
Children ages 7-17 fighting life threatening illness or disabling/ongoing medical conditions.
Generally, a medical diagnosis qualifies a child for Camp River Run camp. If you have questions, apply for camp and our Medical Director will reach out to learn more about your camper.
Parents/caretakers DO NOT attend summer camp with their children.
Nothing! Camp River Run is completely free for campers and their families. We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience the joy of summer camp, regardless of their family’s ability to pay. Camp is made possible through generous donors, community partners, fundraising events, and campaigns that help cover the cost of creating an incredible camp experience for our campers.
Yes! We have several siblings that attend camp together. We do make an effort to separate siblings to encourage participation and moving outside their comfort zones.
One of the greatest joys of Camp River Run is the community it’s created among campers, volunteers, caretakers, and everyone involved in our annual summer camp event. If you’re interested in joining our camp community this summer, there are two main ways to do so: you can volunteer, or you can contribute as a sponsor.
Our volunteers get to spend one-on-one time with the campers throughout the 3-day camp, assisting with and enjoying activities alongside them.
Sponsors make Camp River Run possible through generous donations and the provision of resources at different sponsorship levels.

Every donation to Camp River Run makes it possible to provide personalized medical support, adventure, and fun for campers at no cost to their families. Participate in the magic of camp by making a donation that contributes to camper activities, camp supplies, and essential care needs.
